Privacy policy

1. Scope and operator

TakeAndJam is operated by 苏州工业园区七号机库软件工作室 (a software studio in Suzhou Industrial Park, China). This policy covers the app and https://www.bayven.cool/takeandjam/, explaining information, purposes, providers, retention and your rights. The developer is Chen Hao (陈工要安静).

Features differ by platform, channel and test version. Describing a payment method here does not enable it. Actual purchases are unavailable in the current HarmonyOS invitation test.

2. Accounts and local content

No account is required. We do not collect phone numbers, email addresses or passwords for registration, and there is no account-based cloud sync. Songs, recordings, score images and documents, phrases, playlists, separation and recognition results, practice settings and companion preferences are stored in the app's device storage.

Tuning, analysis, separation, score recognition and related local processing do not upload that content to us or use it to train models. Only content you choose to export, share or attach to feedback is delivered to the recipient you select. Manage system backups and exported copies separately.

3. Microphone, files and photos

Features that need sound input, such as tuning and recording, request microphone permission when used. Live tuning input is used for analysis; recordings are saved only when you start recording.

System pickers give the app access to the audio, score image, HTML or other supported document you select. Exporting files or saving share images uses system flows and requests permission when needed. Practice features do not read your contacts or precise location. Denying or revoking permission affects the relevant feature; other features remain available.

4. Link imports, downloads and local documents

When you import a song or playlist link, access network audio or open an external link, the device connects to that source. The source and its download or relay providers may receive your IP address, requested URL, song identifier, request time and necessary network information under their own policies. Check access rights and avoid links containing private credentials.

Some Android separation models and runtime resources are downloaded on demand from Cloudflare-hosted addresses. This site's Android APK is also distributed through Cloudflare. Downloads do not require uploading your music or scores, but providers receive network information needed to serve the request. Resource delivery differs on other platforms.

Local HTML previews follow the current version's safeguards. For example, HarmonyOS creates a private temporary copy, blocks automatic remote resource loading, and accesses a source link only after import confirmation. The temporary copy is deleted when the document closes.

5. Sharing and music companions

You choose the recipient app or service in the system share sheet when sharing songs, phrases, scores, QR images or support cards. Its privacy rules apply. Playlist QR images may contain selected song source links; review the links and card before sharing.

Genre preferences, companion choices, support status and daily note records are stored locally. They are not conversations with a real person and are not uploaded to choose a companion. Sharing support does not require you to submit a social account, post link or contact list to us.

6. Payments and order handling

Voluntary support on iPhone and iPad uses Apple StoreKit. Apple handles payment; the app verifies transactions on the device and stores local records needed for delivery and deduplication. We do not receive your bank card or payment password.

Mainland Android uses the Alipay client SDK, provided by Alipay (China) Network Technology Co., Ltd., when you initiate a payment. Our order service stores a hash of an installation credential, request and order identifiers, tier, amount, creation and payment times, transaction number and status to create and verify orders, prevent duplicates and recover unfinished orders. The credential is not a login account and should not be treated as irreversibly anonymized information. Alipay may process device, network and app information for payment and security under its SDK privacy notice.

International Android integrates Google Play Billing, but that payment channel is currently disabled on our service. Purchases become available only after activation and store setup. Where applicable, the order service also stores product and Google order information, a purchase-token hash and an encrypted purchase token for verification, deduplication, delivery and unfinished purchases. Google handles payment accounts and methods.

Payment requests do not upload songs, recordings, score images, genre preferences or companion text. Tips are one-time purchases without renewal; local records are not guaranteed to be recoverable across installations or devices.

7. Background tasks, notifications and diagnostics

Playback can use system background audio. Android may show foreground playback or processing notifications; separation tasks may continue using platform facilities or a short background allowance. Notifications provide playback controls, progress or completion status, not marketing. Manage notification access in system settings; restricting background execution may interrupt a task.

The app has no advertising, behavioral analytics or third-party crash analytics SDKs and does not build cross-app or cross-site tracking profiles. A network connection necessarily exposes an IP address to the service involved; this does not mean your music is uploaded. Error messages and screenshots you send are handled as feedback.

8. Providers and storage locations

The website and payment order service are hosted on Volcengine in mainland China; the payment database is stored on that mainland server. Apple, Alipay and Google provide the payment or store services described above. Cloudflare distributes the APK and some optional resources. Feedback email uses NetEase 126 Mail. You choose imported sources and sharing destinations.

Local open-source processing components do not receive your content merely because they run on the device. We do not sell personal information or send local music and scores to overseas recognition services. Cloudflare, Apple, Google and overseas websites you choose may process information for their own services outside China; not all third-party requests can be described as domestic processing. Where a cross-border provision requires notice, separate consent or other legal procedures, we will meet those requirements.

9. Support and feedback

When you email us, we handle your sender address, contact details, description and any device information, screenshots or files you choose to attach only to reply, investigate, process a refund or address a privacy request. Bilibili and Xiaohongshu messages are also subject to those platforms' rules; use email for order and privacy matters.

Do not send passwords, payment codes, full purchase tokens or unrelated sensitive files. We request only information needed to check an order or identity. We reply within 15 working days of receiving a request, giving the outcome or explaining the next steps.

10. Retention and deletion

Local content remains until you delete it. Where Recently Deleted is available, moving an item there is not permanent deletion; use the app's permanent-delete action. Manage temporary caches through the cleanup features available in your version. Uninstalling or clearing app data normally removes private app storage; manage system backups, exports and shared copies separately.

Feedback emails are kept for no more than one year after the issue is resolved, unless an unresolved dispute or a legal obligation requires longer retention. Payment orders and verification/deduplication records are kept as needed for payment verification, refunds, disputes and legal retention duties, then manually deleted or anonymized once those purposes and mandatory periods end. There is currently no automatic scheduled cleanup; legally required transaction records cannot be deleted early on request.

11. Your information rights

Email us to request access, a copy, correction, completion or deletion of personal information we hold, to withdraw relevant consent, or to ask for an explanation. Transfer requests are available where statutory conditions are met. We may reasonably verify identity first and reply within 15 working days.

There is no account to close. You manage local content and system permissions directly. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. Information that must legally be retained or cannot yet technically be deleted will be limited to necessary storage and security measures.

12. Minors

Users under 18 should read this policy and use the service with a guardian's guidance. Information about children under 14 requires guardian consent and special protection under applicable law. Minors should obtain guardian consent before tipping, importing online content or sharing.

We do not collect identity documents merely to determine age. A guardian can email us about a child's unauthorized feedback or payment to seek verification, deletion or a refund through the applicable channel.

13. This website

Our own server counts page views and clicks on the Mainland China and International APK download buttons. Each page load or click counts once; a click does not confirm a completed download. Daily views follow Beijing time. Totals start when statistics launched and exclude earlier traffic. Only the current date, start date, daily and total views, and total APK clicks per edition are stored on our Volcengine server in mainland China. IP addresses, browser identifiers, individual access records and visitor profiles are not retained. Statistics use no cookies, local storage or third-party analytics. There are no advertising trackers; language selection uses the browser language list without storing a preference. Website Nginx access logging remains disabled; cloud, payment, email and download providers may still process necessary network and security information.

The site has no recording or file-upload form. Email, social and download links lead to services governed by their own rules.

14. Updates and contact

We update this page and its date when processing changes. New purposes, data categories, providers or other material changes will be notified as legally required, with fresh consent where needed. This policy does not pre-authorize unspecified future uses.

15. Public website feedback

Website bug feedback requires no sign-in. The description, selected platform, device and version you submit, plus the submission time, are stored on the server and displayed publicly. Do not include personal information. The feedback service does not store IP addresses, cookies or browser identifiers; the server uses IP addresses only in memory for basic rate limiting. Feedback is retained for follow-up and spam may be hidden. To request removal of a mistaken post, email the contact address on this page with the message number.
